Finn finished his UVM session last Friday, so he decided to be a ski bum with me today. We skied with the rich and famous and did the grand tour of Stowe by trying most of their lifts and long groomers. Visibility sucked, especially on the top third of the mountain; it was very foggy because the temps were hovering around the freezing mark. It was also snowing hard little pellets that stung the exposed skin and to add insult to injury (well not really, no one got injured), they were blowing snow on Liftline, so we got coated going up the Quad. However, we still had a great time and it was a nice kickoff to our ski bumming adventures together. Finn has a whole month off from university, so we are planning to ski as much as we can.
The forecast is showing 5″ of snow until tomorrow morning, and hopefully, we’ll get a little more. This will be timely, as the rain and dropping temps made the conditions hard and scratchy. I call it noisy skiing… or better in french: “le ski qui fait du bruit”.
Young handsome ski bum with old ski bum.
